As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are installed properly and on-time.  In this role, you will report directly to a Crew Foreman within the Field Operations group.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team to install the racking system and solar panels on residential roofs
  • Maintain a high quality of installation
  • Prepare trucks for installs in the upcoming day making sure everything is neat and organized
  • Service the solar system as needed
  • Clean and prepare trucks at the end of the day to ensure that the vehicle is ready for the next day’s use
  • Occasional work in the warehouse organizing equipment
  • Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and Vivint Solar standards

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of solar installation, construction and/or roofing
  • Ability to work well with others that are on your team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude
  • Ability to be comfortable being and working on roofs 

Required Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of solar installation, construction and/or roofing

Right now, we are seeking a Solar Electrician that will be a solid contributor within Vivint Solar.  The Solar Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical components of our residential solar projects.  In this role, you will report directly to a Crew Foreman or Operations Manager within the Field Operations group.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer’s residential property
  • Ensure work performed by all electricians is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
  • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues
  • Work with the Operations Manager and home owners to fulfill any necessary system upgrades/repairs to support our solar equipment
  • Work with local Inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations
  • Interface with Electrical Manager to ensure compliance with ratios and continuing education requirements
  • Train, mentor and develop Electrical Apprentices
  • Maintain high quality control on tools, vehicles and materials needed for job responsibilities
  • Keep accurate records of material used and proper documentation on work orders relating to the installation
  • Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and Vivint Solar standards
  • Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership

Required Skills:

  • Experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting and repair
  • Ability to perform advanced electrical calculations
  • Understanding of wire and conduit sizing as well as how to make adjustments for environmental factors
  • Ability to read and interpret one line drawings and electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of the 2011 NEC and the ability to navigate the guidelines
  • Above average computer skills
  • Must be willing to work in high places (our installations are on rooftops)

Required Experience:

  • 4+ years of electrical installation and repair experience
  • Working knowledge of the usage of a volt meter
  • Working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels
  • Active Journeyman (or Master) Electrician certification within the sate is preferred

To help this happen, we need a Solar Service Technician that will be a solid contributor within Vivint Solar. As a  Solar Service Technician, you will be responsible for restoring communication to all non- communicating systems.  In this role, you will report directly to a Regional Manager within the Field Services group.

 

Key Job Duties:

  • Diagnose network functions, IP address knowledge, internet connection and troubleshooting of low voltage circuits
  • Record and submit service activity on mobile software platforms utilizing company phone, associated with serviced systems
  • Diagnose PV system communication issues, and administer corrective action
  • Maintain all issued tools assigned to you by Vivint Solar
  • Comply with key performance indicators (KPI) set by Regional Field Service Manager
  • Attend webinars/calls correlation meeting(s) as set by Regional Field Service Manager
  • Maintain and communicate supply & equipment issues to properly address all solar communication call needs
  • Maintain regular communication with Field Service Techs and Fleet Performance Call Center
  • Ensure a high level of workmanship is adhered to as service work is performed

 

Necessary Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of solar installation, and monitoring platforms
  • Ability to work well with others that are on your team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude
  • Competent with hand tools and digital volt meters
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks & to adapt to change easily
  • Proficient analytical and creative problem solving skills

As a  Solar Service Technician, you will be responsible for restoring communication to all non- communicating systems.  In this role, you will report directly to a Regional Manager within the Field Services group.

 

Key Job Duties:

  • Diagnose network functions, IP address knowledge, internet connection and troubleshooting of low voltage circuits
  • Record and submit service activity on mobile software platforms utilizing company phone, associated with serviced systems
  • Diagnose PV system communication issues, and administer corrective action

  • Comply with key performance indicators (KPI) set by Regional Field Service Manager
